Takeshi Furukawa

Known for sweeping large-scale orchestral works, Takeshi Furukawa’s recent scores include Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix), Mythic Quest (Apple TV+), Side Quest (Apple TV+), The Last Guardian (Sony Interactive Entertainment), Planet of Lana and Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf (Wishfully), and guest contributions to major franchises such as Star Wars: Clone Wars (Lucasfilm), Assassin’s Creed Shadows (Ubisoft), and Honor of Kings (Tencent).
He has received the Italian Video Game Award for Best Music, IGN Award for Music of the Year, and the GANG Award for Best Instrumental Composition, as well as nominations at the BAFTA Games Awards, D.I.C.E. Awards, SXSW Gaming Awards, and the International Film Music Critics Association Awards among others.
Furukawa has worked with many of the world’s preeminent ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, and the American Youth Symphony.
Furukawa resides in Los Angeles, and is currently scoring the third season of Avatar: The Last Airbender for Netflix.
